School Focus

Administrative News & School Initiatives: 

  • Technology Refresh:  Everything that was to be installed is now finished,
  • Reading screening (Acadience) is set for primary students – this is a new screening process with the board.
  • Junior students are participating in assistive technology work shops (AI)
  • Winter electives are  in February – ROC and stay at school program.
  • Arts Night – May 22 4:30-6:40
  • End of School dance – feed back is to have more engaging activities. Parent Council is advised to send out a survey.
  • Spring Concert tentatively for February.
  • PRO Grant – Liane Appleton to complete that application.  Paul Davis can come June 12th.
  • We may change the end of school dance to June 5th, 2025. 

 

RHPSPAC Focus

School Hot Lunches - Term 2 

  • East Side Mario – we are going to offer this again.
  • Sushi – Jaime and Greg are going to see if they can change the date for Kids Kitchen to another day other then Wednesday so that we can do Sushi on Wednesday
  • Edo Japan – on Monday’s. Greg is going to reach out to Edo Japan.
  • Everything has to be updated on school cash online by end of this week 

Movie Night 

  • January 16, 2025
  • School Cash online is not able to purchase tickets without buying a combo. This needs to get fixed.
  • Jaime to get movies. – Emoji Movie and Kubo and Two Strings.
